This was our heaviest cake we’ve made. It was 24” tall and weighed over 50kg!! It consisted of 15 layers of eggless chocolate cake, chocolate ganache and hazelnut frosting. This birthday cake was designed for a 50th birthday for a single malt fan.
We replicated one of the oldest, finest whiskies. The Glenfiddich 50 Years. Only 50 bottles of this single malt Scotch whisky are released each year. We created 3D fondant figures as replicas of the birthday boy!
Although it was a very stressful delivery due to the heavy weight, it was an amazing project to work on! We had so much fun creating this cake from design stage to reality.
